 This is Robert Christopher's 2004 Flight Simulator Lancair Legacy 2000 modified and updated completely for Flight Simulator X. Lancair was founded in 1984 by Lance Neibauer. | FS2004/FSX A-I-R Atos VR |
  The Atos VR is the all out highest performer of a series of rigid wing hang gliders manufactured by Aeronautic Innovation Ruhle (A-I-R). Built for the serious XC and/or competition pilot it is a 13.3:1 aspect ratio super ship with a 45 foot wingspan that is as easy to foot launch as any flex wing, but with a performance that is in a different league. This model made with Gmax has aircraft animations and an all singing and dancing pilot that runs during landing and take-off, transfers his position to prone and weight shifts to control the glider . | FSX Aeroworks ARX-5X Coyote |
  The ARX-5X (Concept 5) is a single-seat unlimited category aerobatic aircraft built around the 495 c.i. 600 hp Trace-Orenda OE600 V-8 aircraft engine and designed specifically for freestyle airshow type aerobatics. Version 2 has a totally new .air file and flight dynamics and the plane can easily handle compulsory competition maneuvers as well as more advanced gyroscopic maneuvers such as lomcovaks and tumbles. The ARX-5X cruises around 200 kts, with a never-exceed speed of 240 kts. This FSX native model contains animations, reflections, environment mapping, spec mapping and a full dynamic virtual cockpit. Although it is not a real aircraft it does have several real-world components such as the Chelton Flight Systems EAU (engine airdata unit) display, and a Hartzell "scimitar" swept blade propeller. This release is not a quick and dirty update simply "ported" into FSX, it is a full FSX rebuild by the original authors, compiled with XtoMDL and conforming the FSX SDK using dds textures and new modeling techniques for the best overall end-user performance.  This ship is a fictional stern load/discharge ro-ro ferry with texture sets for P&O and Townsend Thoresen. It is NATIVE FSX and WILL NOT WORK in FS2004. (Use my ferry ship for FS2004).The model has animated female Captain and female 2nd Engineer on the bridge. For those of you more inclined to the Engineering side I have also built a machinery control room. Gauges used are default FSX gauges.  This is Robert Christopher's 2004 Flight Simulator Lancair Legacy 2000 modified and updated completely for Flight Simulator X. Lancair was founded in 1984 by Lance Neibauer. Lancair has become one of the most successful kit manufacturers in the world. In July of 1999 the Legacy 2000 was introduced as the successor to the Lancair 320/360. The Legacy provides additional passenger and luggage space as well as increased performance. Using a 310 hp Continental IO-550-N, the Legacy achieves cruise speeds in excess of 276 mph. This aircraft has a new 2D and 3D panel using default gauges. This package includes three new paint schemes. These three aircraft have too many updates to list.   Designed with FSDS3.5.1 and FSDSTweak . It has full working virtual cockpit with back-lite gauges. Limited 2-D panel, custom sounds. The plane has reflective glass and metal textures. This install package comes with three Paint textures.Model Y designed by Dean B. Hammond for Bureau of Air Commerce safe airplane competition in 1934. Declared winner of contest in Nov, and Bureau contracted to purchase 25 aircraft at $3,190 each. Original design goal was for an airplane cost of $700--they cost $7150 later! First airplane not acceptable to the Bureau, and Lloyd Stearman was asked to re- engineer plane to improve performance and general workmanship. Resulting aircraft, Model Y, delivered Apr 1936. |
