FS2002/FS2004 Fokker Dr. I Unknown Aviator
FS2002/FS2004 Fokker Dr. I The Unknown Aviator. One of the most immediately recognisable aircraft types, even to those with no interest in aviation, has to be the Fokker Triplane. Many replicas of this infamous aircraft have been built, including one in these exact colors based at Omaka Aerodrome. Images have surfaced of an aircraft in this scheme from Jasta 11, but the pilot's identity remains unknown. Pilots of the Omaka-based replica in his colors refer to him as "Von Doe". Designed to complement Robin Corn's "RealNZ Marlborough" scenery package. Textures only for Frank Elton/Pegasus Aviation Design's Fokker Dr. I (FOKDR.ZIP). FS2002/FS2004 Fokker Dr. I Steinhauser
FS2002/FS2004 Fokker Dr. I Steinhauser. One of the most immediately recognisable aircraft types, even to those with no interest in aviation, has to be the Fokker Triplane. Many replicas of this infamous aircraft have been built, including one in these exact colors based at Omaka Aerodrome. This aircraft is painted in the distinctive scheme of Werner Steinhauser, one of the pilots of the famed Jasta 11. He later carried these colors over to a Fokker D. VII. Designed to complement Robin Corn's "RealNZ Marlborough" scenery package. Textures only for Frank Elton/Pegasus Aviation Design's Fokker Dr. I (FOKDR.ZIP). FS2002/FS2004 Messerschmitt Me410 Hornisse
FS2002/FS2004 Messerschmitt Me410 Hornisse. This was a Luftwaffe heavy fighter and Schnellbomber of World War II developed from the badly flawed Me 210. Essentially a straightforward development of that type, the 210 had garnered such a bad reputation--after many minor changes, including a subtle but important change to the wing's planform--that it was renamed the Me 410 to avoid disdain. FS2002/FS2004 Nieuport 11 Alvaro Leonardi. The Nieuport 11 was a fast, manoeuvrable but lightly armed fighting scout of the Great War. During the 1960s Lee Pfieffer and Joe Addams built this accurate full-scale replica, using an original Le Rhone rotary powerplant. After flying the North American circuit for several years, the aircraft, now painted in the colors of Italian ace Alvaro Leonardi, now flies in New Zealand, and is one of the stars of the biennial Classic Fighters airshow held at Omaka Aerodrome. Designed to complement Robin Corn's "RealNZ Marlborough" scenery package. Textures only for the Nieuport 11 of I D'Attomo and Giovanni Quai. By Zac Yates, Virtual Vintage Flyers NZ. 582 kb
