FS2004 Blackhawk_Bambi Bucket
The JetRanger is one of the most popular helicopters in the world and is used for transport and television reporting, and as a police and rescue vehicle. Helicopter flying is very challenging and quite different than flying fixed-wing aircraft. You'll find that flying the Bell will likely push your skills to the limit. See the Aircraft Information section of Help for tips on flying this aircraft 6 mb

FS2004 B-47E USAF
FS2004 B-47E USAF The B-47 was the first all-jet production bomber in the Air Force and was the backbone of SAC's bomber fleet in the 1950s.The B-47 was classified as a medium bomber and was not intended for worldwide missions even though it could be refueled in flight. The E-models were upscaled to two 20mm cannons, the clear nose was eliminated and an optical dome was installed for the horizontal periscope bombsight. 5 mb

FS2004 Grumman A-6E Intruder
This is the U.S.Navy's subsonic all-weather medium attack aircraft, capable of carrying up to 15,000 lbs. of every type of air-to-ground ordnance imaginable. Entering service as the A-6A during the Vietnam War, the A-6's all-weather capability, long range, and tremendous payload represented a quantum leap in carrier-based power projection. Current A-6Es mount the Target Recognition and Attack Multisensor (TRAM), a turret-mounted sensor package that includes a Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) targeting device and laser designating equipment for precision-guided munitions. by Kazunori Ito. 1.5 mb

FS2002/FS2004 Lockheed YF-12 Black Bird
FS2002/FS2004 Lockheed YF-12 Black Bird. The YF12 was an experimental fighter-interceptor version of the Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance aircraft. In Air Force flight tests on May 1, 1965, the YF-12 set a speed record of 2,070.101 mph and an altitude record of 80,257.65 feet. First publicly displayed at Edwards Air Force Base in 1964, the YF-12 was never adopted by the military as an operational aircraft. It was, however, a precursor to the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance plane. By Kazunori Ito. 1 mb

FS2002/FS2004 USN Lockheed S-3 Viking
FS2002/FS2004 USN Lockheed S-3 Viking. The Lockheed S-3 Viking is a jet aircraft used by the United States Navy to hunt and destroy enemy submarines and provide surveillance of surface shipping. A carrier-based, subsonic, all-weather, multi-mission aircraft with long range, it operates primarily with carrier battle groups in antisubmarine warfare roles. It carries automated weapon systems, and is capable of extended missions with in-flight refueling. Because of the engines' high-pitched sound, it is nicknamed the "Hoover" after the brand of vacuum cleaner. FS2002/FS2004 Soko (Avioane) J-22 Orao
FS2002/FS2004 Soko (Avioane) J-22 Orao. The Yugoslav aviation industry started a program for the design of a replacement for the F-84 Thunderjets which were in the service with the Yugoslav air force at that time. Romania was also looking for a replacement of its older MiG-17s. The joint program was given the name YUROM (YUgoslavia-ROMania). The Yugoslavia aircraft was designed as the Orao (Eagle), while in Romania the plane was given the designation IAR-93. This aircraft is a twin-engine, turbojet, high-wing aircraft intended for performing close support, ground attack and tactical reconnaissance missions within the zone of the front and also in the enemy rear and can also be used as low level interceptor. Three kinds of models (early type, latest type clean and with weapon) and three kinds of paint examples are included. By Kazunori Ito. 3.8 mb

FS2002/FS2004 Focke-Wulf FW-190 V18/U1
FS2002/FS2004 Focke-Wulf FW-190 V18/U1 (C-0) kangaroo. The FW 190 V18 was designed and built as a prototype for the high-altitude FW 190 C. This was completed with a pressure cabin, an enlarged vertical tail surface and powered by one Daimler-Benz DB 603G, driving a four-blade propeller and fitted with a Hirth 9-2281 turbocharger. The turbocharger was installed in a prominent ventral installation with a large air inlet. This was later revised to Fw 190 V18/U1 standard with a revised powerplant (the DB 603A engine and a DVL TK-11 turbocharger), rated at 1600 hp (1.193 kW) at an altitude of 35,105 feet (10700 m). The FW 190 V18 was coded CF + OY and received a white outline Balkenkreuz and Hakenkreuz. By 1944 the project had been halted by technical problems and opposition to use of the DB 603 (which was needed for other aircraft types). By Kazunori Ito 1.1 mb

FS2002/FS2004 Auster AOP.9
FS2002/FS2004 Auster AOP.9. In the USA in the late 1930s, the Taylorcraft company enjoyed considerable success with its Models B, C and D light planes, which were built for private use. They were so successful that the designs were licensed for construction in England by the British Taylorcraft Company. When WWII broke out, the RAF put at least 100 of these aircraft into service as liaison and observation aircraft, under the designation Auster I, powered by a Blackburn Cirrus Minor I engine. The postwar Auster AOP (Air Observation Post) series was derived from the early British Taylorcraft models. The Mk 9, with a 160-hp Blackburn Cirrus Bombardier engine and a bigger wing, appeared in 1955 and remained in service into the late 1960s. Many ex-military Austers are now privately-owned around the world, and are highly prized for their ruggedness and short-field performance. Four kinds of paint examples (white, orage and two of camouflage) are included. By Kazunori Ito. 2.9 mb

FS2002/FS2004 Lockheed A-12 Black Bird
FS2002/FS2004 Lockheed A-12 Black Bird. The Lockheed A12 was designed in the late 1950s for the CIA as a follow-on to the U-2 under a program codename "Oxcart". The aircraft first flew from Groom Lake on 26 April 1962 piloted by Lou Schalk. The aircraft was designed to directly overfly a target, as opposed to 'standing-off' a target and taking oblique photographs. A variety of different cameras could be carried in the 'Q' bay immediately behind the pilot. A variety of ECM packages were carried in the chine bays. The A-12 Blackbird remains the fastest, highest flying plane ever built and achieved a speed of Mach 3.35 and a height of 95,000 feet. By Kazunori Ito. 1.2 mb

FS2002/FS2004 SHORT S.A.4 Sperrin
The Short SA.4 "Sperrin" was a British jet bomber design of the early 1950s built by Short Brothers and Harland of Belfast, popularly abbreviated "Shorts". The exact requirements included a weight of 140,000 lb, the ability to fly to a target 1,739 miles distant at 500 knots from altitudes of 45,000-50,000 ft and be simple enough to maintain at overseas bases. This request would be the foundation of the V-bombers. The design known initially as SA.4 and later as the "Sperrin" had more in common with the Second World War designs than the new jet age. It first flew in 1951. by Kazunori Ito 2 mb
