  Project Airbus was born in the mist of flight simulation’s golden era, at a time when all add-on production was taking a turn to supreme accuracy and evolved from sheer simplicity to authentic flight recreation.In early 2002, Trevor Slack came across Thomas Ruth’s website, while his A300 was still in production. Trevor had the benefit to beta test Thomas’ creation and they constantly exchanged ideas and information, so to end up naming their effort “Project Airbus,” and soon after, with the texturing assistance of Nicholas Wu, the A300 became the first group’s big hit.   FS2004 Bangkok Air Airbus A320-233, registration HS-PGV. A fully handpainted recreation of Bangkok Air's "Krabi" color scheme. All the special markings like fishes, crabs, boats and diver on this plane are handpainted. The patched up fuselage, wear, tear and dirt is all custome made, while special credit goes out to John Tavendale's night/light textures. The wing textures are made by Karen Romalta / Mcphatstudios. These textures are for the Project Airbus A320 version 2, and include the actual plane, which contains an accurate model with details such as opening passenger and cargo doors, animated pack inlets and outflow valves, all operable control surfaces, detailed flap tracks and slat rails, hydraulics modelled on spoilers and landing gear doors. | FS2004 Air Jamaica Airbus A320-214 |
  FS2004 Air Jamaica Airbus A320-214, registration 6Y-JMK, "Spirit of Mandeville", with lighting effects and updated FDE. Air Jamaica was founded in late 1968 and started operations in April of 1969. Throughout its existence it had enjoyed expansive growth through the 1990's during which time the Jamaican government reduced their ownership share in the company to 25% in an effort to privatize it. However, in 2004 Air Jamaica suffered significant financial losses, so the government interceded to take back 100% ownership of the company. Air Jamaica has argueably one of the brightest, most colorful liverys of any airline flying. It had not been that way until the 1990's when Air Jamaica repainted its fleet in this livery. This airframe, registration 6Y-JMK, was delivered to Air Jamaica in July of 2003 and is the newest A320 in thier fleet of nine. She bears the name "Spirit of Mandeville" aft of the flag of Jamaica below the side windscreen. Attention was paid to detail and realism as much as possible. Most repainted textures are 32 bit with no mipmaps (wings are DXT3). Repaint by Jeffrey S. Bryner, Model by Project Airbus, FDE and lighting modifications by Grayson Ottaway.
