| FS2004 Scenery--New York Harbor Cruise |
 FS2004 Scenery--New York Harbor Cruise - passing by Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge - featuring the model of the Circle Line Ferry, by Ron Jeffers. This package includes a custom AFCAD - using the invisible runway and taxiway technique - and a flight plan which has the ferry cruising around the harbor every 1/2 hour. Each cruise lasts approximately 30 minutes. This enhancement has been designed for use with the default FS2004 scenery. | FS2004 Scenery - Rio de Janeiro V8 |
  We put into this version everything we knew about scenery. Considering the size of the area covered (about 1000 km˛), we had to re-do just about all the "distinct" objects to include LOD (Level of Detail), in a major effort to minimise the impact on the frame rate. With the same objective we optimised the textures, working on their size and mipmaps. The result is that, although the package contains a lot of stuff, it will run with fairly modest configurations. 5. The number of textures is significant. Therefore, despite all our efforts, it is still possible that some textures take some time to load in lower-end systems. 6. We are including Traffic: 6.1. There is some helicopter traffic at SBJR (Jacarepagua). As there is no "traffic" of helicopters in FS, the helicopters have normal fixed-wing STOL aircraft flight dynamics. If you observe the flights, you'll see it is fake. But the helicopters look cute on their pads. If you don't like them, just remover the helicopeters from the Aircraft folder.
