| FSX Lockheed Jetstar |
  FSX Lockheed Jetstar, the first business jet. A four-engined aircraft, with several engine models installed, the aircraft was in production from 1957 to 1979. It entered service in early 1961. The first two Jetstars were twin engined airplanes, powered by Bristol Siddeley Orpheus turbojet engines. The second was refitted with the four Pratt & Whitney JT12 engines that were installed on all the first Jetstars. Garrett TFE731 turbofans were installed on later airplanes. A total of 204 Jetstars were built by Lockheed in several models. Military versions flew four U.S. Presidents, carrying the Air Force One designation while they were aboard (some jokingly called it Air Force One Half). This model represents the first two Jetstars. | FSX Imperial 109 |
 In 1977 the novel "Imperial 109", by Richard Doyle, was published. The story is based on the flight of an Imperial Airways Short 'Empire' Class flying-boat, "Caterina", on its journey through Africa to Cairo and onwards through Europe to England and finally across the Atlantic to New York. Of course, the S.23 flying-boat is but the main stage upon which the central characters, namely the passengers and crew, play out their parts, and the exotic stopping-off locations also support the adventures and intrigues as the story unfolds. When I read this novel just recently I couldn't help but think that it would make a wonderful Flight for Flight Simulator, and the fact that the characters and storyline was fiction was of no concern, because the airline, the aircraft and the route flown were real.  FS2004/FSX Ducati Multistrada 1100 S. There were many motorcycle addons that came before this one, but the Ducati stands out as the most unique so far. Featuring a sleak look using a poly-modeling technique, and providing source textures for the look, repainters can give this two-wheeled machine a style of their own. And with sound files based completely on the real Ducati, and animations, it can provide a greater sense of realism. The photorealistic 2D panel was taken from an online image. It doesn't accurately represent the right model of the Ducati, but it's the best that could be found that had the right quality of both lighting and sharpness. The sounds were also acquired from the net and were edited with Magix MP3 Maker and then compiled using FS Sound Studio.  FS2004/FSX Pfalz D.III Replica ZK-FLZ. Built by Doug Bianchi's Personal Plane Services in the late 1960s for use in the film "The Blue Max", this Pfalz D.III replica is now based at Hood Aerodrome. One of several WWI aircraft owned by film director Peter Jackson, the Pfalz is based around a DH Tiger Moth fuselage frame and is powered by a Gipsy Major engine. It is one of the stars of the biennial Classic Fighters airshow held at historic Omaka Aerodrome. Designed to complement Robin Corn's "RealNZ Marlborough" scenery package.   FS2004/FSX North American P-51 H Mustang. The P-51H came too late to participate in World War II, but it brought the development of the P-51 Mustang to a peak as one of the fastest production piston engine fighters to see service. The P-51H used the new V-1650-9 engine, with automatic supercharger boost control with water injection, allowing War Emergency Power as high as 2218 hp (1,500 kW). With the new airframe several hundred pounds lighter, the extra power and a more streamlined radiator, the P-51H was among the fastest propeller fighters ever, able to reach 487 mph (784 km/h or Mach 0.74) at 25,000 feet (7,600 m). | FS2004/FSX SNCASE 5000 / 5003 Baroudeur |
  A French fighter bomber of the early fifties. The SNCASE (Société Nationale de Construction Aéronautique du Sud-Est) Baroudeur made its first flight on August 1st 1953. The main particularity of this aircraft was the absence of landing gear, resulting in a significant weight saving and the ability to dispense with obligatory concrete runways. The aircraft was taking-off using a separate carriage and had retractable skids for landing. These skids even allow the plane to take-off autonomously from snow or ice-covered strips. Two SE 5000 prototypes and 3 SE 5003 preproduction machines were built. Unfortunately, the Baroudeur was an unsuccessful contender in the NATO contest for a light strike aircraft in 1957, and the story stopped there ...
