 The Ba.201 prototype first flew on 3 July 1941, and was then sent to Guidonia for official testing. The aircraft showed that it had enough agility, once freed of its bomb load, to hold its own against other Italian fighters. However speed was disappointing, only 460 km/h (290 mph), slower than the requested for 500 km/h (310 mph) and slightly slower than older front-line fighters. | TRA Bristol Beaufort |
 The TRA Bristol Beaufort is a conversion of the AlphaSim FS9/FSX aircraft. She is armed with my MC500 and MC1000 bombs, as well as my MK_XIII_Torpedo. Modifications to the MDL, CFG, DP, panel and textures are by myself. She has a full DVC, and all panels have been converted to CFS2 gauges. | AF Scrub XB-19 |
 The Douglas XB-19 was the largest airplane in the world when it first flew in 1941. It was intended to carry a 36,000-pound bomb load for 2,000 miles.The purpose of the XB-19 project was to test the flight characteristics and design techniques associated with giant bombers. Despite advances in technology that made the XB-19 obsolete before it was even completed, the Army Air Corps felt that the prototype would be useful for testing. | AF Scrub P-6E Hawk for CFS2 |
 CFS2 version of AF Scrub Curtiss P-6E Hawk biplane fighter. Curtiss-built biplanes that equipped fighter units of the Air corps and Navy during the 1920's and 30's were inspired by the air racing during the early 1930's. The most famous of the Hawks was the P-6, first flown in 1929. The P-6E had a modified fuselage, single strut landing gear with stylish wheel fairings and a 700 hp engine with Prestone cooling. A total of 46 production P-6E's were delivered to the three fighter squadrons, the 17th, 33rd and the 95th. The last eighteen P-6E's were retired from the service in 1939, mostly donated to flying schools as non-flying training aids. 8 mb |
