  FS2004/FSX Boeing XB-15 Experimental Long-Range Bomber Attempt by Boeing to develop 4-engine bomber with 5000-mile range. Begun in 1934, but first flew in 1937, almost two years after B-17. Many similar features to early B-17, but much larger with 149-foot span. Intended Allison liquid-cooled engines were unavailable, and P&W Twin Wasps were used instead, leaving XB-15 underpowered, unable to go 200 mph. | FS2004/FSX Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star Package |
  FS2004/FSX Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star Package. The first operational jet fighter of the USAAF, the Lockheed P-80/F-80 series was essentially a P-51 Mustang with a jet engine. Utilizing the typical wing, fuselage, and empennage of the piston engine era, the F-80's dimensions and armament were nearly identical to the Mustang. However, the performance was far greater once the type came into its own. Several examples were delivered for evaluation prior to war's end, but the initial plans for 5,000 were abandoned after VJ-Day. The type saw service in Korea, and was the basis for the outstanding T-33 trainer. Ex FS9 payware from Alpha Simulations. Works in both FS9 and FSX. Small tweaks for FSX compatibility by Chris Evans. | FSX Dornier Seastar CD2 |
  This elegant STOL flying boat amphibian was designed in Germany and is built almost entirely of lightweight, non-corrosive, composite materials. The prototype first flew in 1983 but no production was started at that time. In November 2009 Dornier Seaplane, now based in Florida, USA, announced that production would start in 2011 and the aircraft would be built in Quebec, Canada. The Seastar is powered by two Pratt and Whitney PT-6 turboprops arranged on top of the cantilever parasol wing in a 'push-pull' configuration. Twelve passengers can be carried in the short range high density seating configuration or six in the corporate executive cabin. The Seastar can operate from water or land bases, including short grass fields. Complete package for FSX/SP2 including custom panel and VC with both 6 and 12 seat interiors. Custom PT-6 sounds and full moving parts. Realistic and pleasant flight dynamics. The package includes 3 liveries, the prototype Dornier livery, a fictional Kenmore Air livery and a fanciful Canadian Forces Search and Rescue scheme.   MiG-25 Foxbat. This is an old Alpha Simulations ex payware model originally for FS2004/2002. Developed to counter the Lockheed A-12, the MiG-25 Foxbat is capable of 1864 mph at optimum altitude. The first prototype first flew in 1964 and series production commenced in 1969. The type is still in service in several of the once Soviet-aligned states. | Curtiss R3C Floatplane Racer |
 FS2004/FSX Curtiss R3C biplane racer Curtiss-built biplanes that equipped fighter units of the Air corps and Navy during the 1920's and 30's were inspired by the air racing during the early 1930's. In 1925 the U.S. Army and Navy ordered from the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company aircraft of basically the same design but with individual variations. The R3C variants ran away with first place in both trophy races in that same year. One of them also established a straightaway speed record for seaplanes of 245.7 mph. Source included.
