 This is the default Beechcraft Baron in its military variant, the T42 Cochise. | FSX SIAI Marchetti SM 1019 |
  The SIAI Marchetti SM1019 is a single-engine, high wing monoplane with tail-wheel type fixed landing gear. It was intended for battlefield surveillance and forward air control. It's based upon the Cessna O-1 Bird Dog but posseses an extensively modified airframe to meet latest operational requirements, redesigned tail surfaces and a turboprop in place of the O-1's piston engine. STOL performance makes it easy to operate from any airfield. This FS aircraft model represents two different examples, the first one when in use with the Italian Army and the second when repainted by a civil user after the dismission from the Italian Army inventory. | FSX Republic RC-3 Seabee Amphibian |
  Republic, better known for their military planes, commenced manufacture of the unusual RC3 Seabee amphibian in 1945 and ceased in 1947 after 1060 units had been made. In 1945 the U.S. Army Air Force and U.S. Navy placed orders for several thousand Seabees for war time air-sea rescue duties but these orders were cancelled when Japan surrendered in August 1945. Today (2009) over 250 Seabees are still registered and flying, mostly in private hands but a few still serve as air taxis and light freight bush planes.  Based on the XSF-37A Aurora and used to test the next generation of pilot - plane interface systems the S-2A has two improved engines and revised aerodynamics. "Versatile" because it can fly with any new system without redesigning the airframe completely. In the real world, a few Seabees were used by the Israel Defence Force. | FSX P-38 |
 This is David C. Copley's Lockheed P38 Lightning modified for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. This P-38 N25Y "White Lightnin" served the Army Air Corps as 44-53254. Its construction number is 8509. From April 1946 to 1977 it passed through several hands when in 1977 she was acquired a second time by Marvin Lefty Gardner in 1977. Gardner raced it as "White Lightnin" several times at the Reno National Air Races. On June 25, 2001 she suffered an engine failure that resulted in a belly landing in a cotton field in Greenwood, Mississippi. The Red Bull drink company bought the wreckage on January 12, 2005. It was moved to Breckenridge, Texas for restoration to airworthy condition. It has been registered to Aircraft Guaranty Title Corporation since January 30, 2006. This aircraft's flight dynamics have been tuned to Lefty Gardner's race specs. Also includes Mel Mutter's P-38 panel for FSX and has the history and pictures of the actual aircraft. | FSX Fletcher Class Destroyer (Pilotable) |
  Introduced in 1942, the Fletcher Class destroyers quickly became the mainstay of the fleet. The Fletchers saw action at Guadalcanal and played a major role in almost every other Pacific battle. Destroyers performed convoy escort and anti-submaring warfare (ASW) duties. The Fletchers were also formed into destroyer squadrons (including the legendary DesRon 21) that purposely went "into harm's way". Following the War, Fletchers continued to serve for decades, serving in the Korea and Vietnam conflict. Some are still serving with foreign navies. Three Fletchers have been preserved on public display: The Sullivans (DD-537), the Kidd (DD-661, located at Baton Rouge) and the Cassin Young (DD-793, located at Charlestown Navy Yard, Massachusetts next to the frigate USS Constitution).
