FS2004/FSX Aerfer Ariete |
Basically similar to the Sagittario II, the Ariete was built by Aerfer. Retaining most of the Sagittario 2's layout with a nose intake and ventral exhaust for the main Derwent engine, the Ariete added a Rolls-Royce Soar RS. 2 auxiliary turbojet engine to provide additional power for climbing and sprinting. This used a dorsal, retractable intake with its exhaust at the tail. The Ariete prototype (MM 568) flew for the first time on 27 March 1958, but the entire project was later abandoned. This model reproduces the aircraft displayed at the Vigna di Valle Aeronautical Museum (near Rome). This model features reflective metallic skin and full animations. The panel background has been created entirely from scratch, and it is not intended to reproduce the real panel, due to lack of information about it. Some gauges are default gauges and some have been created by the authors. Also included is a simple virtual cockpit, with working essential flight instruments and animated flight controls. FSX Republic F-105 |
This is AlphaSim's freeware release of their Republic F105 Thunderchief. This aircraft is from the 13th TFS. The 13th TFS was set up at Korat RT AFB in May 1966, largely using 44th TFS aircraft and pilots. But it did not use the 44th TFS designation, instead taking the 13th designator. The 13th squadron had four flights of F-105Ds (single-seat) for air-to-ground attack and one flight of F-105E "Wild Weasel" aircraft (two seat, pilot and weapons system officer-navigator) which specialized in hunting down and destroying enemy surface-to-air missile (SAM) sites in a air campaign called "Rolling Thunder". The F-105 was known as the "Thud" by its crews. This aircraft has a updated 2D and 3D panel, new Mach 2 flight dynamics and textures by Mark Rooks of RDG Aircraft. 17.4 mb |

FS2004 / FSX SNECMA C-450 Coleoptere |
FS2004 / FSX (SP2/Acceleration compatible) SNECMA C-450 Coleoptere, complete package, with full moving parts, animations, custom panel and a full virtual cockpit. By Patrice Grange. The SNECMA C-450 Coleoptere was "tail-sitter" VTOL aircraft (Vertical Take Off and Landing) developed by the French Engine Manufacturer SNECMA in the 1950s. Using the concept of the "annular wing", it made its first flight on May 5th, 1959. Unfortunately, the test flights were stopped after an accident on 25 July 1959, even if the pilot was able to eject and to survive. The model has full moving parts and animations, an original custom 2D panel (an original bitmap by me) and a full animated VC. AS THE FLIGHT MODEL IS PARTICULARLY UNUSUAL ("TAILSITTER" FOR VERTICAL TAKE OFF AND LANDING, THEN A 90° ROTATION TO REACH THE CRUISE FLIGHT POSITION), PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE INSTRUCTIONS (DETAILED PDF INCLUDED). 9.2 mb |

Stalingrad 49th MiG-29 Winter Scheme |
This MiG-29 is a gift from the MCSN General MC Sics to 49th Stalingrad Leader Russian Mandalore. The aircraft's performance is significantly lower than the MCSN MiG-29 due to a swapping of the engines. The 49th Stalingrad MiG-29 now boasts two stock Tumanskii R-33D afterburning turbofan engines and stock avionics. Repaint of General Gouletawitz's Stalingrad 49th Mig-29; with permission. Whole aircraft. Superjet has a top speed of 3000 knots at low altitude and mach 4.7 at optimum altitude of 30,000 – 40,000 ft and has a ceiling of 250,000 feet (though it is not advised to go that high) and has an uncalculated range. 9.41 mb |

FSX/FS2004 Spitfire Mk Vb Tropical |
The Mk VB(trop) (or type 352) could be identified by the large Vokes air filter fitted under the nose; the reduced speed of the air to the supercharger had a detrimental effect on the performance of the aircraft, but the decreased performance was considered acceptable. Many were sent overseas, with the majority of them being used either in North Africa and the Mediterranean or in the Far East.rnTotal production was 6,487. Original CFS2 mdl by Brunosk, textures by Sopwith Chameleon. Upgraded to FS9/FSX by A.F.Scrub 9.1 mb |

FSX Piper Arrow III Update |
This is an update for FSX Acceleration of the Piper Arrow 3 by Warren Baier. The author has updated the flight dynamics and changed the panel to all default gauges, and taken the autopilot out of the radio stack and given it a window of its own. Most of the virtual cockpit gauges are not clickable, but they do work other than that. You need the original aircraft for this update to work (ARROW_3.ZIP). By Bob Chicilo. 81 kb |
