Last night, I tweaked the FSX Textures.
I downloaded and ran the small .BAT file per instructions, with the NConvert and Imagetool.exe and .BAT file all in the same required folder.
It took close to 2 hours to finish.
Now I have a problem. In the past, it only took a couple of minutes to load the game.
Now, after making the Texture files smaller, it takes close to 1 hour to load the game.???
Do I need to scan and defrag? Is it because the 3 extra files are also still in the "Textures" folder?
Once the game loads, I can play, but make one change, and then it takes 1 hour to reload and play...
I have saved a copy, so I can replace them with my back-up copy if needed.
Any suggestions, please.

Ok, here was the problem... The tool that was to make the files smaller, made them bigger by over 1 full gig.
I removed the files, replaced them with the back up files I made, and it's back to normal.
I will try again to re-size the images, but in a different folder, then if it works, I will cut, copy and paste, and see if the FPS gets better. |

nice to hear that you solved it, i was out those days and i m just reading now the problem. Thanks for explanation of the problem that can be helpfull for others |
