Several add on aircraft have either solid pitch black propelers or grey that are not transparent in anyway. What filedo I need to change to fix this and any other suggestions would be helpful also. Thank you for your time.

usually there is a file called prop.bmp into the texture folder

Sorry about the long break from my first posting.
So are implying that I need to change it with Bmp from another aircraft. Its only in the VC that I have these problems. The outside texture of the prop is fine. Thanks in advance for your time.

if the problem appear into Vc could be also an mdl problem not easy to correct. but in some case the right texture solve the problem.

It occurs in AN-2 Colt and DeHavilland DHC2 add ons and only in the VC not in the 2d panel, I saw that the had released another update for the DeHavilland DHC2 and it didnt fix that problem. Im sure I cant be the only guy with this problem I've look around and cant find it forums. If you have have any advice that would be great or if I have suggestions on where to work or what to type into search engines that would be awesome to. Thanks for your pompt replys. Sorry to be so clueless about this stuff also.

If you have also sp2 installed this could be the problem with fs9 aircrfaft converted to fsx..try this

Open the bitmap containing the "blurred prop texture" with DXTBMP.exe (or Imagetool), save to 32 bit targa (.TGA) format.

Load the new targa file into Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, then adjust the Alpha channel to either pure black (0,0,0) or at most (40,40,40). Save the changes.

Convert the edited targa file back to the original format (DXT3 BMP)...then the problem should be solved
